Lucid Factory - Site Development

Lucid Factory has created several Web applications that can be reused to extend the functionality of client web sites. The applications are implemented in PHP and are integrated into Lucid Factory’s development platform (making it easy to update the graphic design without compromising the functionality of the application). In some cases, these extensions can be added to a client’s Web site in less than a day (depending on design requirements and the complexity of the application).

Applications available today:

Content Management System: Content management systems allow clients to make content updates without requiring the intervention of a Web master. A custom content management system can extend any existing Web site for updates such as updating the home page text, news articles, event list, contact information, partner links, etc. Each implementation will be tailored to a clients Web site to ensure maximum usability.
Private Sections: Sections of a site may be made private and require a login procedure for access. This may include an invitation engine that allows an administrator to send e-mails to users granting them access to the section.
Photo Gallery: A gallery of relevant photos that can be updated and reordered over time. A basic implementation of the Gallery includes a thumbnail view and a full size view with a caption.
News Headlines: Many news sources offer access to a headline list that can be integrated into a client’s site to help keep visitors interested in returning to the site
E-Mail Contact Form: A simple form to send e-mail to designated recipients. This preserves the privacy of an e-mail address (protecting it from spammers) and may help organize visitor communication.
